Accounting Associate

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
  • Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and approves for payment.
  • Reviews checks, account statements, reports, and other records for accuracy
  • Reconciles bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Compiles cost reports, revenue, and balance sheet
  • Prepares quarterly and monthly sales tax filings
  • Assists employees and customers with questions related to their accounts
  • Accounts payable and receivables
  • Professional and proactive approach to work, problem solver

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience with QuickBooks or related bookkeeping accounting software
  • 1+ years in the accounting field
  • Sufficient skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Customer service minded attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple mediums
  • Ability to manage confidential information in a professional, discreet manner
  • Professional image and demeanor

Screening Criteria

  • MUST HAVE STABLE EMPLOYMENT HISTORY.
  • 1+ years experience with QuickBooks or related bookkeeping accounting software
  • 1+ years in the accounting field -has experience in the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger account
